Veterans Unite Saturday, October 13 for “Jumping for a Purpose” at Skydive Suffolk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SUFFOLK, VA – On Saturday, October 13, Skydive Suffolk will host dozens of military veterans for a day of fun, skydiving and community building. At Jumping for a Purpose, co-hosted with Chesapeake-based Combat Wounded Coalition (CWC), veterans will take to the skies and instill a sense of pride, power, purpose and peace within themselves and those around them.

Jumping for a Purpose brings people together for fellowship with those who have sacrificed for our nation. It is an event about living life to its fullest and never taking a day for granted.

The day will also feature:

Graduates from CWC’s Overcome Academy, a two-week course developed to teach combat-wounded warriors the skills necessary to find success in the civilian world.
A tribute to Ron Condrey, a former Navy explosive ordinance technician, who committed suicide in September 2018.
A skydive by Norwood Thomas, a 95-year-old veteran of World War II, who jumped from a plane to fight at Normandy.
