Towne Insurance has acquired Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency Inc., which serves clients in Williamsburg, Deltaville and Dillwyn.

Clients of the Williamsburg-based Middle Peninsula Insurance Agency will still see its familiar team, President Joe Harrow said. Joining Towne Insurance, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suffolk-based TowneBank, expands the agency’s reach and resources, he said.

Through this recent deal, Towne Insurance will grow to more than 385 professionals with 29 offices in Virginia and North Carolina, according to a news release. Towne Insurance has completed 22 insurance agency acquisitions since 2001.
