Queen of Virginia Skill & Entertainment Will Announce Revenue Collected to Date to Support Virginia’s COVID-19 Relief Fund

Company Representative Will Reveal Amount Outside Chesterfield Nursing Home During August 19 Event to Benefit Small Businesses and Senior Housing Facilities

What? Queen of Virginia Skill & Entertainment to
Announce Multi-Million Dollar Tax Payment to Virginia’s COVID-19 Relief Fund During Pizza for Providers Event in Chesterfield County

When? Wednesday August 19, 11:30 am outside Lucy Corr Nursing Home

Where? 6800 Lucy Corr Boulevard, Chesterfield, VA 23832

Who? Representative of Queen of Virginia Skill, Lucy Corr Nursing Facility

Why? To support three restaurants that experienced revenue declines during pandemic; and three nursing homes, which have done heroic work to keep COVID19 out of their buildings

Thanks to the Virginia General Assembly this past April, hundreds of restaurants, bars and convenience stores in Virginia are still able to host games provided by Queen of Virginia Skill & Entertainment, powered by Pace-o-Matic. For those outlets, the game revenue, even in good times, was often the difference between a net profit or loss.

As a result of the April session of the legislature, Queen of Virginia is operating more than 5,000 terminals across the state, each paying $1,200 per month with 84% of the revenue benefitting the Commonwealth’s new COVID-19 Relief Fund. On Wednesday at 11:30 am outside Lucy Corr Nursing Home, Joel Rubin, Queen’s State Spokesman, will announce how much money has been turned over to date. It will follow the delivery of several dozen pizzas to feed the nursing home staff.

Queen is paying a nearby restaurant that hosts its games to make the pizzas as a way to help small businesses that have struggled since the onset of the pandemic in March. The company is also coordinating pizza baking and deliveries at two other restaurants and nursing homes in Henrico County and Richmond at the same time on Wednesday.

Media should come to the Chesterfield location only for interviews and b-roll video. They can come at 10:30 am to 301 Pike Pub and Grub for footage of pizza preparation.

* The pizzas will be lunch that day for a significant in-service on employee mental health during the pandemic at Lucy Corr. Joel Rubin, Marketing Director for Queen of Virginia, will be outside the facility at 11:30 am with the pizzas and available for interviews as will representatives of the senior care facility. Because of this, media should come to Lucy Corr (and if available, just before to 301 Pike Pub & Grub) for best interviews and footage.
