Dental hygienist Laura Heck assisted Dr. Bill Viglione as he performed free oral cancer screenings on the Downtown Mall on Thursday. The “Where’s the Chair?” campaign came to Charlottesville after stops in Roanoke and Virginia Beach in order to raise awareness about the fact 42,000 people are diagnosed with, and 8,000 people die from, oral cancer each year.
