Ryan G. Ferguson, a former local prosecutor and trial attorney, is joining the law firm of Bischoff Martingayle as a partner.

With substantial courtroom experience in all Hampton Roads cities, Ferguson will represent Bischoff Martingayle clients in civil litigation, divorce and custody matters and criminal proceedings, according to a news release. The 2001 graduate of James Madison University and 2005 graduate of Regent University Law School will also handle estate litigation and creditor’s rights.

Virginia Business magazine named Ferguson one of Virginia’s Legal Elite in 2011. Law and Politics magazine identified him as one of the state’s “Rising Stars” in 2009 and each year since.
