CINCINNATI – April 29, 2013 Thousands of online votes have been tallied, and arborist foreman James Tatem from Hooksett, NH has been named the grand prize winner in the second annual Cintas & Carhartt Cold Crew contest. He will be sent on an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the CMA Music Festival June 6 – 9 in Nashville, TN.

Dave Bensette, a mail carrier from Tecumseh, Ontario, and Dawn Martin, a cattle rancher from Beulah, ND were named second and third place winners and will each receive $50 in Carhartt merchandise for their participation.

            Virginia Beach, Va. – Each May, National EMS Week recognizes the work of emergency medical personnel throughout the country. In Virginia Beach, it is an opportunity to honor the dedication of the 1,000+ volunteers that make up the largest volunteer-based EMS system in the country.

For the first time, four Virginia Beach squads will be partnering on a fundraising effort during EMS Week, which takes place May 19 – 25. The four squads include Chesapeake Beach, Kempsville, Princess Anne Courthouse and Virginia Beach.

In celebration of “The Month of the Military Child,” the Peninsula Town Center (PTC) and the Hampton Military Affairs Committee (MAC) will host a “Celebration of the Military Child” event on Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at PTC’s Town Square. PTC is located near Mercury Boulevard and I-64 in Hampton, and its Town Square is located behind Barnes & Noble.

This new event will include an opening ceremony featuring the Heritage of America Brass Quintet from Langley Air Force Base, as well as exclusive military discounts and resources. Children’s activities will include a “bounce-house,” games in a carnival midway, crafts, face painting and more.
