WATSONVILLE, Calif. (September 3, 2013) – One hundred forty children with special needs and their families will depart the Hampton Sunset Creek Boatel on September 7, 2013 for a day of fishing, thanks to the Wish-A-Fish Foundation.

Five days later on September 12 from 6-9 p.m., all Hampton Roads residents will be able to support the continuing efforts of Wish-a-Fish and several other local and national nonprofits involved in fishing and boating by attending “Cruising for a Cause” at the new West Marine flagship store at Loehmann’s Plaza in Virginia Beach. Virginia Beach, Va. – The Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad is pleased to announce that all of its emergency vehicles will now feature pet oxygen masks, thanks to a donation from the Invisible Fence Brand of Hampton Roads. The rescue squad will celebrate this donation with a community event on August 3 from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Station 14 (740 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA  23451).

An estimated 40,000 – 150,000 pets die each year in fires, according to the U.S. Fire Administration. Invisible Fence Brand, through its Project Breathe initiative, has donated more than 2,000 pet oxygen kits to first responders throughout the country with the goal of reducing that statistic.
