A subsidiary of Suffolk-based TowneBank has acquired three insurance agencies, expanding the company’s footprint in central Virginia.
Towne Insurance has added Chesterfield-based Invincia Insurance Solutions, Midlothian-based Total Insurance Planning and B.H. Baird Insurance, based in Warsaw, to its portfolio, the company said. The agencies will not change their names, leadership or locations. (more…)

Virginia Beach, Va. – The 20th annual India Fest, hosted by the Asian Indians of Hampton Roads (AIHR), will take place at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. The event is expected to draw 10,000 or more attendees.
Admission and parking at India Fest is free and includes Bollywood dance performances, fashion shows, and an Indian bazaar with clothing, jewelry and other vendors. Children can participate in essay writing, poetry, art and science competitions; more information about these contests can be found at www.aihr.org.
