NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Ashley HomeStore, the No. 1 furniture retailer in the United States, will celebrate the official grand opening of its 30,000 square foot showroom on Wednesday, March 16th located in the Oyster Point section at 11971 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA.
The highlighted ribbon cutting at 6 p.m. will feature Newport News Mayor McKinley Price and will be emceed by WAVY-TV Morning Anchor, and Peninsula resident, Don Roberts.
The Ashley HomeStore, located across from Jefferson Lab, will have approximately 25 employees. This will be the company’s third location in Hampton Roads, and the newest of more than 600 Ashley HomeStores worldwide. The store boasts a new logo, trend-setting style and merchandising techniques, home accents galore as well as an updated Dream Destination area featuring a huge bedding gallery exhibiting popular mattress lines Tempurpedic, Sealy and Ashley Sleep™, one of the fastest growing mattress brands in the world.

During the 6 p.m. ceremony, as part of Ashley’s Hope to Dream initiative, Ashley Newport News will announce the identities of several local non-profits to receive free mattresses.
