ARDX founder Angela Reddix wanted to show her employees how much she appreciated them. So for the Norfolk company’s holiday party, she asked Rubin Communications Group to produce a video to showcase how well the firm’s 80 employees meet their daily mission: help the US Department of Health and Human Services explain complex healthcare regulations to health insurance companies, which then have to make the laws understandable to millions of consumers.
RCG had just a few short weeks to pull it together. RCG CEO Joel Rubin and videographer Bobby Cullipher spent most of a day at the ARDX offices, interviewed seven employees, recorded a team conducting a webinar, participated in staff meetings and generally tried to get their arms around the challenging work ARDX does. Joel and Bobby finished just in time for the video’s premier, which took place at the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in Portsmouth in late December.
The video was a hit, according to ARDX Business Development Director Carla Howard. “The audience stood up and cheered several times throughout the five-minute production, especially when the narration said, ‘no one does it better than ARDX,” said Carla. “It was very crisp, concise and generated the exact response that we wanted.”
The video will now go on the ARDX website for widespread viewing and promotion.
Joel couldn’t attend the ARDX event, but his son, RCG Account Manager Danny Rubin, appeared in his stead and served as the night’s emcee. Danny even challenged the ARDX crowd with sports trivia questions. After all, the party was held inside the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame! “You both did a fabulous job,” said Carla.
