After you pop the champagne and toast 2014 (and shake off the hangover), it’s time to refocus and think critically about the year ahead. Are you positioning your business for a profitable next twelve months?
Use these five questions as a guideline to ensure you dot all your “i’s” and cross your…well, you get the idea.
1. What’s the new challenge?
Have a brainstorming meeting with your employees to discuss goals for the coming year: sit back, listen and encourage.
2. What does the market want?
Take a serious look over the past year: Is there a certain service that is rising in demand? 2014 is the year to capitalize.
3. What’s our worth?
Ask yourself this question: Are you charging what you are worth? How you perceive yourself translates to how your clients see you.
4. How can we find new opportunities?
Follow up on stalled projects and past clients. This is a great time to refocus your energy and drum up new business for 2014.
5. How can we communicate better?
Create new practices for better interaction with clients. Make it a priority to keep your social media and website current.
