Suffolk, Va. – TowneBank, a major supporter of the United Way, will send more than 200 volunteers into the community to help a dozen local charities in support of the organization’s nationwide “Day of Caring” initiative on Friday, Sept. 13.
Day of Caring was established in 1991 to promote the spirit of volunteerism, increase awareness of local human service organizations and demonstrate how people working together for the common good can accomplish great things. Volunteers from the Towne Family of companies, including the bank, mortgage, and insurance teams, as well as Prudential Towne Realty, will complete a variety of projects, including repair work, landscaping, painting and more for the following local charities:
