At the Top of our Thankful List: Relationships

It’s the week of Thanksgiving, and along with the rest of America, Rubin Communications Group is feeling pretty grateful. Not just for an upcoming turkey dinner or time off to spend with our families, but also for what we’re able to do here in Hampton Roads.

For this week’s blog, each staff member wrote a quick sentence or two about what they’re most thankful for when it comes to public relations. The common denominator? Our gratitude for the relationships we’ve built. Whether it’s a reporter, editor, client, vendor, sales rep or coworker, we know at the core of what we do, it’s all about the people.

So without further ado, the team at RCG is thankful for:

Our Great Group

“I’m grateful for our outstanding team that makes running a business very fulfilling.” Joel Rubin

A Deeper Perspective

“I am grateful for the many wonderful people we have worked with over the years.  It has expanded our world and allowed us to learn about so many different industries through our PR efforts.” Sara Jo Rubin

Reporters That “Get it”

“I’m thankful when the media ‘gets’ our message and shares it with the broader community the exact way we intended.” Danny Rubin

 Being Involved in the Community

“I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the community through my work at RCG and with nonprofits I support.” Ashley Martin

Relying on Trusted Vendors

“I’m thankful that I can pick up the phone, call any number of local printers we’ve worked with for years, and be confident they can meet a tight deadline with quality work. It makes all the difference to have relationships built on mutual trust.” Jessica Bensten

 Having Fun at Work

“I am grateful for the wonderful relationships we have with each other and our clients, which allow us to not only do great work but have fun along the way.” Dee Dee Becker

 Being Part of the Team

“I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with so many creative and talented co-workers.” Rachael Keshishian

Wishing each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
