RICHMOND – The Virginia Dental Association (VDA) applauds the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) that doctors apply a fluoride varnish on the teeth of children ages six months to five years. The AAP contends, and the VDA agrees, that the varnish can help reduce cavities, the top chronic disease affecting young children.

“New Year, New You” is not just about eating more salads and hitting the gym. Okay, for me it is, but this “fresh start” mentality goes for big companies too. Every new year brings new opportunities for brands to re-invent themselves and increase sales. McDonald’s is no exception. The fast food chain announced a “brand transformation,” changing its philosophy on how the company reaches and communicates with customers.

Mission of Mercy Slider

Last week, Joel Rubin (AKA my dad) and I drove 10 hours west to mountainous Wise County, Va for the 14th annual Mission of Mercy (MOM) Project. Dentists come from all over the state to volunteer and provide dental care for people in need.

We went to MOM to produce a video for one of our clients, the Virginia Dental Association (VDA). Many VDA dentists make the annual two-day pilgrimage to Wise; some have even worked the clinic all 14 years.
